A Champion of Calgary, supply chain expert, community advocate, and long-term Strathcona resident, Bryndis Whitson is running to be the Member of Parliament for Calgary Signal Hill.
Politically active since the age of eighteen, Bryndis’ professional efforts have supported clean water initiatives, increased awareness of Alberta's supply chain and logistics concerns, and supported out-of-work individuals experiencing career transition.
Holding a double Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, Geography and Political Science, with an equivalent minor in Transportation, from the University of Calgary, Bryndis celebrates Calgary’s proud past while committed to making his community thrive for all.
Providing coaching and instruction as a Job Developer and Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist at Lifemark, Bryndis helped workers seeking employment enter the labour market.
Working with researchers and logistics experts at the Van Horne Institute, she led multiple initiatives to improve digital infrastructure and brought together the brightest minds to investigate new ways to get Calgary's goods to the world.
Named one of the Top 20 Compelling Calgarians by the Calgary Herald in 2010, her work at the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST) included creating a youth education program that was recognized as one of the best in Canada by the Donner Foundation.
As an active community volunteer, Bryndis co-led Canada's only Girl Guide unit for young offenders for thirteen years. She also learned first-hand the challenges families face supporting seniors staying in their homes.
